Swindon Borough Council has a vision to develop a low carbon economy by 2030, as well as seeking ways to allow residents to invest in renewable energy sources, and this project is helping them achieve that. The solar farm, which was completed in 2016, is generating electricity that creates a long term income for the Council to help fund community projects, as well as clean energy for the grid.
