Atlantis Future Energy 2019

Atlantis Future Energy is part of SIMEC Atlantis Energy, a global developer of renewable and sustainable energy projects in various stages of development. This investment helped fund the work to explore converting the Uskmouth power plant from using coal—fired generation to using waste—derived pellets which will help to address the UK’s non—recyclable waste problems. It also went towards the continued development of its tidal power business, including the development process for a proposed tidal array at Raz Blanchard, a fast—flowing tidal race off north—western France which is one of Europe’s most promising tidal stream sites. This investment is part of over £12m raised by SIMEC Atlantis Energy on Abundance from 2017 to 2019 to help fund their pipeline of projects.
