How it works

Please read through the following to make sure you understand how your auto-investment will work.

Auto-invest terms

  • Once we have processed the receipt of your money, it will be invested into council investment(s) within 1 working day.
  • Your deposited money will be invested in equal proportions across the open council investments available at the time.
  • Where it is not possible to invest your money equally due to rounding to the nearest £0.01, the amounts will be adjusted randomly to ensure all of your deposit is invested.
  • The exact terms of each loan you are invested in may vary over time. However you will only be invested in loans that meet the following conditions:
    • The loan is a P2P loan offered by a council, as defined in our Terms & Conditions.
    • The term length is up to a maximum of 5 years, but may be less than 5 years.
    • The use of funds must be either for Eligible Green Projects or Eligible Social Projects, as defined under Abundance’s Green and Social Finance Framework.
  • The rate of interest on each new loan will vary over time based on Abundance’s credit assessment and pricing policy.
  • Abundance will notify you of each council investment you make. You have the right to request a cancellation of any investment made within 14 days of the investment notification.
