Monnow Valley Biomass was set up to help small to medium sized businesses reduce their carbon footprint, as well as reducing their heating costs. This investment funded the installation of six biomass boilers at three businesses, which burn pellets from waste wood sources, to replace old, inefficient heating systems. The company also receives the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for the heat they generate.
