Delivering real green projects

Glasgow Green Investment is helping deliver a greener future across the city.

Funding projects to create a greener city

Glasgow City Council will use the money raised to fund interventions in the city to help fight against the present and future impacts of climate change.

In the first phase they will be funding sustainable energy projects, supporting the installation of solar panels across a number of council sites to reduce annual energy costs. It will then be focussing on
Localised Liveable Neighbourhood Interventions which is part of the Council’s approach to deliver upon the current City Development Plan. This aims to help unlock a step change for Glasgow in how people and goods move around the city, in the design of our streets and public spaces, and in encouraging more sustainable and active travel choices.
