How our investments make an impact

When Abundance started out in 2012, it was a very different world. Much of our electricity was still generated using coal, and solar power was the preserve of early adopters. By 2022, things have changed radically, and mainly for the better. Ethical investments are popping up all over the place, and companies of all sizes are starting to tackle the climate challenge (with varying degrees of enthusiasm and honesty).

This complicated picture can make it difficult to choose where your money can make a real impact. We want to make that easier. So we only offer investments we believe make a genuine difference in at least one of these three areas.

Build new green solutions

We need better ways of doing things. Whether that’s growing food, getting around or powering our homes. Our investments let you back new ideas today, to help create the greener infrastructure of tomorrow.

Cut our carbon emissions today

The nuts and bolts of the Net Zero transition — such as installing solar panels on a council building — may not make headlines but they are vital to achieving our climate targets. That’s why we offer investments in real-world projects that can reduce our emissions right now.

Support the green transition

This is where things get more difficult. The most environmentally damaging parts of our society need to radically change. Some companies stay away from these challenges, but we believe dealing with these issues is the only way to make a real impact.
