Help Telford & Wrekin Council create a carbon neutral borough

Support residents, local businesses and community groups to help deliver a carbon neutral borough

The first Telford & Wrekin Climate Action Investment is open now, and it lets you support Telford & Wrekin Council’s plans to create a carbon neutral borough. The council is already taking action on its own environmental impact — it has cut its carbon footprint by 58% since 2018, putting it on track to hit its target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

But its plans go far beyond that. It wants to ensure it supports everyone across the borough to take climate action, and this investment lets you back a number of important local climate projects. It is raising £500,000 to help fund its hugely popular Climate Change Fund (which offers grants to local organisations and businesses to fund climate measures), energy efficiency upgrades to its temporary and supported housing accommodation, and the electrification of its community minibus fleet.
