Northern Gas Networks

To deliver Net Zero we need to take action across all areas of our lives, and nowhere is this more necessary than in our heating sector, which accounts for a third of UK carbon emissions. Northern Gas Networks (NGN), one of four companies who manage and maintain the UK gas grid, raised money to help fund their programme to upgrade 2,900km of their pipeline network by 2026. It will cut NGN’s day to day emissions from operating the network, and also create a hydrogen-ready gas network across the North East, Cumbria and much of Yorkshire.
