Our approach

We believe that the climate emergency needs urgent action. We’re passionate about the need to shift towards clean, sustainable infrastructure, and we want everyone to be able to put their money to work to make that happen.

More than returns

Letting ordinary people invest in the green and social economy

Abundance was formed because we saw that ordinary people wanted to use their money to drive positive change for the planet and society — without compromising on the quality of investment or returns. When we started out, ethical investment was the exception, not the norm. But now the majority of people want to see their money being invested for good, and we will continue to work hard to provide a range of ways for them to put their money to work for a better world.

We believe we need to deliver a Net Zero future

Our mission is to help people mobilise their money for good — and a huge part of that involves helping people invest in the projects that will take us a step closer to our Net Zero emissions targets. We want to play a key role in making that happen.

We’ve been working to support businesses that reduce carbon emissions since our launch in 2012.

Unlocking the investment that innovative companies need

Abundance was established to give businesses access to the funding needed to make the world a greener, better place. We do this through our range of investments.

Thanks to our simple, accessible investment model, we’ve helped businesses around the country deliver real, positive impact. Over the years, we’ve funded many sectors, including wind, solar and tidal. More recently we’ve tackled the problems of waste — enabling CoGen to bring pioneering waste gasification technology to a commercial scale. And we are looking at more sectors in the future, to ensure we back a range of businesses that are trying to make our society more resilient and sustainable.

Working with councils to create real action on Net Zero

This year we will be launching a brand new investment model for local councils. These investments will make a positive impact, by lending money to local councils to fund the green and social infrastructure we need to power a Net Zero future.
